In the world of hip hop we see new artists from all over, Cali, New York, and Maryland. ,Baltimore to be exact. Hailing from Charm City, we have a young man who brings his interpretation of hip hop. That young man is none other than Trey R. I had the pleasure to sit down and shoot the shit with him for a bit and pick his brain for a while and find out what is on his mind.

II: Charm City? Did I get that right?

Trey: Yea, lol Charm City, Harm City, Bodymore, it comes with the territory (sad to say)

II: Yea man, I dig that. Every town has its personality, good and bad. How are things? The last time we spoke you were cooking up something new, what you got coming out for us?

Trey: Just trying to stay current man. Lately I've been featured on numerous blogs and mixtapes throughout the DMV (most recent the Judah x Durkl mixtape). Right now I am in the process of dropping my 1st mixtape entitled "TETRIS" 10.27.09. I can honestly say this is the best mixtape I've heard from a Bmore artist to date.

II: Word. Tetris? Any reason behind the name? I knew you had something up your sleeve. How should the people prepare for this new project, are we mentally ready? Give us a breakdown of how it may be set up. Also how was it being featured on the Durkl tape?

Trey: TETRIS is based on the fact that life is a game (like TETRIS), In order to succeed you have to make moves...if u sit still...u lose at whatever your trying to achieve...with the Durkl tape, basically a friend of mines sent Judah the Material Girls track..He liked it and it was a go.

II: That’s what’s up man. I also noticed that you no longer go by “Swaggz”, is there any reasoning for that?

Trey: Haha, yea man, in the early stages of my career I just rapped for the love of hip-hop. It wasn't until I realized a lot of people began taking a liking to my music that I decided to become more serious as an artist. Leaving the gimmicks behind and more focused on making real material, and that's how Trey.R was formed.

II: True. Sometimes you have to shed a past persona in order to succeed. As far as the name has anything else changed? Personally, physically, style wise?

Trey: Everything changed.lls When I was Swags, I was on StreetFamous records…in the group SF. Being in the group I felt like I could always go deeper when I wrote verses. Not trying to out shine anyone I never really did. Then in November of last year I quit rapping altogether only to comeback this year solo and ready to get my dreams out.

II: I was just kickin it at the crib recently watching BET, these days I see a bunch of new ‘cookie cutter’ rappers all about the same thing, what sets you apart from those guys?

Trey: The thing that sets me apart from other artist in today’s time is the fact that I have no limitations. People are afraid to express their flaws to the world because their worried about being accepted. Me, I honestly stopped caring a long time ago, "I spit for the pplz working 9 to 5's who save they checks to copp the 5's & 9's"lls,..That's real, everyone can't relate to Lil Wayne or 50 Cent. So I create music for the everyday pplz...pplz that have to work for EvERYTHING the desire.

II: Yea man it’s always good to stay grounded and connect with you listeners. Don’t want to leave them in the dark…ooor where would you be? That’s always a good mentality. Keep it up. It’s actually been quite some time since I have heard anything new from you, last track I heard was ‘Material Girls’ ft Simplex, dope shit. How was that? How did yall link up?

Trey: Sim-Plex is family man lol. Jazz & Marx have the same passion for this music as I do & that's why I think it’s so easy for us to create classic material such as "Material Girls". I 1st heard of Sim-Plex threw my manager and they actually gave me some tips at my 1st show @ Morgan State. From there I knew we both were serious about this music so I had to reach out to them.

II: Nice. It’s always good to do work with a person, when you feel the same values, you can hear it in the music that yall mesh well. What is the next thing on your agenda? Maybe do a local tour

Trey: Shows. I've been booking quite a few shows lately. Trying to become more then a Baltimore artist ya know. Also I am currently in the process of shooting a music video for Music2Fly2 and a few other surprise joints.

II: Dope. Make your mark everywhere bro; don’t stop at the city limits of Baltimore. I think you would get love out in Norfolk. People out here are open minded and can accept a lot from all over.
Trey: I'd love to do shows in VA; I've got family down there.

II: Then it’s only a matter of time. In closing, it’s good to hear you’re doing well, make sure you keep us in mind WHEN you make it to the Hampton roads area. We will pop a bottle or two. You got any last words before we wrap this up?

Lately, we have spotted numerous colorways of the Air Structure Triax 91 with the most recent being the persian violet/black color scheme. Besides all of the Structure Triax colorways that have just released, we have now spotted a colorway that will release some time in 2010.

First off, this particular Triax 91 was created solely for the women; however, the majority of you guys would nonetheless sport this sneaker. It features a predominately swan-colored base with minimal sport red accents on the heel panel, tongue logo and the border of the swoosh. To coincide with the latter details, this Triax 91 is finished with sport red outsole. Another interesting feature on this shoe is the various mesh-like setions on the toe box and side panels. As stated earlier, this women’s Air Structure Triax 91 will release in 2010

The UNDFTD x LA Trainer uses a red, white and blue color-up, while everyone’s favorite corner store/sneaker shop Bodega uses grey, blue, black and white for their model. Overseas, Oslo retailer Sole Service keeps it simple with a grey color-up, accented with a gold top lacehole.
